Orange and Friends

I remember painting this work in my Riga flat in 2007. It was one of the first times I allowed my fingers to lead the way. I started with the idea of painting a proper floral piece. And yet the more I worked on it, the freer my strokes became.

I didn’t expect the piece to have such power, intensity and a movement. The end result pleased me.
