Sarajevo, Bosnia
I first visited Sarajevo in February 2019. When my friend showed me this bridge and shared its importance in history I decided that I must paint it one day. You see, on the far side of the bridge the Archduke Ferdinard of the Austrian/Hungarian empire was assented by a Bosnian thus triggering the horrible World War I.
I painted this at Pedants, the studio of Kaspars, Zarins, Riga, Latvia
