San Antonio, Texas
San Antonio is a very old Texan city with a colorful history. I decided to play with the idea of ‘colorful’ as I created this painting.
My grandfather took me to San Antonio when I was 13 years old in 1968. The world’s fair was going on that summer. Papa took me up the elevator to the top of the Hemisphere Tower, which had been built for the fair and has stood as a landmark for the city for 50 years.
